The Republic of the Congo (formerly Congo Brazzaville) is located in the central part of the African continent, with its southwestern end on the Atlantic coast. It shares its western border with Gabon, its northern border with Cameroon and the Central African Republic, its eastern border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and its southern border with the Angolan exclave of Cabinda. The capital city is Brazzaville.
